Some shops will give the groom a free tuxedo since five to six other groomsmen will be getting their suits from the same shop.
To be honest, I don't remember if I got my tux for free but, it is good question to ask the owner of the shop if the groom gets a deal on the tuxedo rental.

They really do want and need your business and won't be offended if you ask what kind of deals they offer. If you don't ask you won't know. It could shave a few hundred dollars off your wedding budget. A few hundred dollars can be used for other things you will need like dinner.
I do remember it being fairly easy to get my tuxedo. I made an appointment to get measured; went back a couple of days later and picked it up. It was a perfect fit. All of the groomsmen were measured a week before. They went back and picked up their tuxedos the day before the wedding.
You will want to look your best so I would advise getting ready early so you're not rushing and perspiring all over the place. As you can see from the home page, I didn't want to go with the traditional black jacket. I just had to be different.
I would suggest checking the tuxedo to make sure the material is not torn and the seams are sown together well. You definitely don't want to have your pants split on you during the big dance or when you walk up a set of steps.
That's how I feel whenever I rent a tuxedo; the pants are going to explode at any time. I survived. No embarrassing moments. It's just easier for men because we don't have to put on makeup or design a wedding dress. We get hair cuts, shaves, throw on the pants, shirt and a jacket and we were ready to go. I would say after you have prepared everything, relax and enjoy yourself.
