We really thought about what to choose from our bridal registry to help jump start our new life together.
During this time, your mind can easily go into fantasy mode about what to ask for. Let's see... I want a huge TV; Lets make that a flat screen for sure; and of course I'll need an audio system so I can here the TV; and then I'll need a stand to for TV to sit on and Oh... Don't forget the chips and the dip while your watching the TV That's the way my mind works.
There were so many wedding gifts we could have added to the wedding registry but it wouldn't have been practical. My mind could have wondered with thoughts like, maybe we can get the first months rent paid or a down payment on a new house.

What else can I put on the registry while people have their wallets open? Hummmm. Most people don't think like that but my sense of humor kicks in quite often. And then, reality sunk in. We didn't want to ask for frivolous items just for the sake of having them.
I'm the type that feels awkward asking for anything to. We actually needed a toaster, a tea pot, some silverware and an ironing board with an iron and a few other items. So we registered for wedding gifts we really needed. In the below section you will find stores that might have wedding gift registry incentives.
I will check them periodically to see what deals they have and update this page.As a new couple, this is a good time to in life to get a lot old things replaced with new things. Even though I had a lot of those items from my bachelor days, It was nice to start fresh.
Chances are, a single guy has pots and pans his mother gave him and blankets he borrowed from home and never returned. When you get new items together as a couple, It's your opportunity to put away the old and bring in the new together. It's always nice to start fresh. We used Create & Barrel for our Wedding Registry and would use them again for sure.
Create & Barrel has an eclectic selection of elegant wedding gifts; from cool looking pottery to down to earth coffee mugs If you have a Create and Barrel in your city, take a trip down and have a look around..They have nice quality products that don't cost a fortune. While making your gift registry list, you might also think about how much money your wedding guest will have to pay.
If you have friends that can afford to pay a little more, by all means, choose up scale wedding gifts from your registryIf you have items that cost too much, it could make your guests feel uncomfortable having to fork over a bunch of money. So mix it up by choosing gifts that are not too expensive and add a few on the high side as well; that way everyone is happy.
Now days, Target and Walmart carry good quality gift options as well. Even LinensNThings has amazing selections that don't cost too much. Macy's has Registry Star Rewards Program. When you join their rewards program they give you benefits where you can earn up to 250 dollars back. Better that nothing. I'm all for getting money back to use for something else. We looked at our new place of residency, sized up the choice for the wedding registry and went for it.
I can honestly say we still use those items today. However, One last option would be to forego the wedding gift registry for gifts and opt for cash. Take all of the cash and use it for a down payment on a home. Whatever the two of you choose, I wish you the best in your new life together..
